John began his long successful career at The Robinson-Humphrey Company in 1980. In 1986, he moved to Synovus Securities, where he stayed until 2006. It was in 2006 that he and his team left Synovus to join Stifel upon the opening of the firm’s Columbus branch, where he serves as Branch Manager. He also serves as Branch Manager for two satellite offices located in LaGrange and Warner Robins, Georgia. At Stifel, his clear, honest, and realistic communication seeks to keep his clients aware of today’s market conditions, and his guidance is provided with his clients’ goals in mind.
A native of Columbus, John earned a B.B.A. in Finance from Georgia State University. He holds Series 4, 7, 9 & 10, 24, 53, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses.
A passionate advocate in his community, he is the director of the Columbus State University Athletic Fund, vice president of the Fred Haskins Commission, director of the National Infantry Museum, chairman of the finance committee at Trinity Episcopal Church, and is on the board of trustees of Columbus State University.
John’s past affiliations include board director of the Ronald McDonald House, president of the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus and Phenix City, two-term president of the Columbus Country Club, chairman of the Columbus Sports council, chairman of the Columbus Convention and Visitor Bureau, and chairman of the Charter Review commission.
John is an honorary member of the Columbus State University alumni association and has been awarded the Man & Youth Award by the Boys and Girls Club. He was also a recipient of the Herbert Greene Golden Cougar Award.
John and his wife, Linda, have two grown daughters and two adorable grandchildren.
Kim began his financial services career in 1997 and joined Stifel in 2006. Prior to Stifel, he worked as a Family Office Advisor/Multi-Family Office Director with Synovus Family Asset Management and an Associate Attorney with Page, Scrantom, Sprouse, Tucker & Ford, P.C.
Kim earned a B.A. in History from Wake Forest University before obtaining a Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and life, health, and variable insurance licenses.
Outside the office, Kim is chairman of the board at the Greater Columbus Georgia Sports and Events council. He is a past board member of Young Life Columbus and served as community football coach (kickers, punters, and special teams) for 20 years at Brookstone School.
James began his investment industry career at Stifel in 2023. Prior to joining Stifel, he spent two years working in public accounting, as well as nearly seven years in small business management, focusing on company growth and financial reporting.
James believes in creating lifelong relationships while helping clients pursue their short- and long-term investment goals. He strives to build personal, genuine, and deep relationships with his clients through transparency and integrity. James continues to educate his clients about the importance of time in the market rather than timing the market.
James earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Georgia. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and life and variable insurance licenses. Outside the office, he is a past board member for the Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity and a member of the Highland Community Church finance committee.
James and his wife, Alissa, have three children, which are his motivation for working so hard for his clients.
A native of Columbus, Dan attended Hardaway High School and graduated from Columbus State University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He practiced public accounting over the next 17 years, receiving the CPA designation in 1976. In 1990, he joined Synovus Securities, where he began providing personalized tax, retirement, and wealth planning services. Dan joined Stifel in 2006, where he continues to apply his experience in tax and wealth planning. Affectionately known as “Dan, the answer man,” he provides detailed analysis of the many investment vehicles available to Stifel clients. He also brings a unique perspective to the team for differentiated wealth management and investment planning strategies.
In addition, Dan earned the Personal Financial Specialist certification in 2002 and holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses. His professional affiliations include the Georgia Society of CPAs and The American Institute of CPAs. He is also a member of the Tax Section and Personal Financial Planning Section of the AICPA.
Dan has two grown children and a cat. Outside the office, he enjoys woodworking and spending time with his three grandchildren.

Beth began her career as a Sales Assistant with The Robinson Humphrey Company in 1989. In 1998, she moved to Synovus Securities to work with John and joined Stifel in 2006. Her financial services knowledge, dedication, and loyalty to clients can be seen in all that she does. In addition to providing administrative and operational support to the branch and satellite offices in LaGrange and Warner Robins, she helps ensure that every client receives the same level of consistent, quality service across the board.
A native of Mobile, Alabama, Beth has lived in Columbus since 1987 and raised her two children here. She attended Auburn University and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
Beth and her husband, Bill, enjoy traveling and spending time with family, friends, spoiling grandchildren, and relaxing with their three cats. She’ll tell anyone who’ll listen that you’d be hard pressed to find a finer group of advisors than those she works with.
Joy began her financial services career with Stifel in 2006 alongside John, Kim, and Beth. She holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
Joy earned a B.A. in English from the University of Mobile. She is originally from Smiths Station, Alabama. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and cat.
